Ministry of Outreach

The development of resources and connections for parishioners in times of crisis and need, as well as during times of peacefulness.  Evangelizing those who feel alienated from the church.  To be advocate for those marginalized while assisting them in gaining needed skills and avenues of communication in order to access basic life necessities.

 

Bereavement Group

Support for those who have experienced a loss in their lives.  Each group meets quarterly for nine weeks to share, pray, and heal.

Health Ministry

Provides health information, counseling, and periodic blood pressure and diabetes clinics.

Ministry to the Homebound

In order to help keep them connected to the parish community, those who are in facilities or homes are brought communion on a regular basis.

Carol’s Kitchen

Over one hundred people are served lunch and provided with clothing and household goods in the Beaumont hall every Monday and Thursday.  Volunteers are always welcome.

Food Pantry

The pantry, at the Banning site, provides scores of family with food weekly.  Donations accepted at Sunday masses.  Items needed:  Canned items, crackers, baking mixes, baby food, diapers, and hygiene items.    Volunteers are welcome.

Prison Ministry

Men visit the local correctional facility.  This ministry touches the lives of many of those in our community and their family members.

H.E.L.P. Inc.

This is a non-profit charitable organization founded by churches in the Pass area which provides groceries for the needy in our community.  There is also a thrift store located at 53 S. 6th Street, Banning.  Donations of clothing and household items are accepted.  Volunteers are needed for 3 hour shifts.
